The Pebble Rock Golf Village is a well-known development in the Pretoria environs, with its beautiful 18-hole golf course. Just 25 kilometres outside the CBD of Pretoria, close to the Roodeplaat Dam and situated next to the Sable Hills Waterfront Estate.
It is a mere 55 minutes from Johannesburg International Airport, 25 minutes from the Wonderboom International Airport and 20 minutes from the new Hatfield Gautrain Station. It also falls within the boundaries of the Dinokeng Game Reserve project, a R500-million initiative by the Gauteng Provincial Government. Dinokeng is a major game reserve 20 minutes from Pretoria, where the legendary Big Five – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard - roams free on close to 200 000 hectares of bushveld. The game reserve is already operational.
The golf village and golf course was developed by Pebble Rock Properties (Pty) Limited during 2004. The golf course opened in December 2005 and the clubhouse during March 2006.
The golf course is rated by North Gauteng Golf Union (GNGU) as a Par 71. Pebble Rock Country Club offers various membership options. Information can be obtained at the Pebble Rock Pro Shop - 012 808 2242 or 012 808 0883
The course is a golfer's dream, combining perfect surrounds with rolling fairways and challenging greens. The tee boxes are the only level areas that golfers will experience on this interesting golf course, which is ideally suited to all handicaps. This unique course include water obstacles at 11 of the 18 holes during the rainy season, testing even the best of players' skills. Designed for the golfer who enjoys a good challenge.
The clubhouse forms the focal point of the entire golf village. Aesthetically designed, the clubhouse at Pebble Rock not only complements the development, but also offers residents, club members and visitors a relaxing environment in which to socialise, unwind and enjoy the bushveld atmosphere.
